Turmeric Turkey Tacos
This Turmeric Turkey Lettuce wrap is ideal if you want a super easy and tasty high protein lunch or dinner.
Turmeric Turkey Tacos
Ingredients
- 1-2 romaine leaves (can use actual taco shells or tortillas if prefer)
- 1 lb. organic ground turkey (can use ground chicken)
- 1/4 cup low sodium chicken stock
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. turmeric
- Salt & Pepper to taste (I use a lot of pepper!)
- Optional - a dash of cilantro, basil, paprika, and/or cumin
Instructions
- In a medium pan, heat chicken stock on medium heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook fully.
- Add turmeric and other herbs and spices and stir.
- Add olive oil when the meat is fully cooked and stir until the oil has absorbed in meat. This will keep it juicy.
- Spoon desired amount of turkey on lettuce leaves.
- Gobble up!
Notes
Feel free to add ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise if you want it to taste more like a burger. You could also mix a little sriracha to mayonnaise if you want to add even more of a kick. Enjoy!
