Turmeric Turkey Tacos

This Turmeric Turkey Lettuce wrap is ideal if you want a super easy and tasty high protein lunch or dinner.

Turmeric Turkey Tacos

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Serving Size: 2-4

Ingredients

  • 1-2 romaine leaves (can use actual taco shells or tortillas if prefer)
  • 1 lb. organic ground turkey (can use ground chicken)
  • 1/4 cup low sodium chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. turmeric
  • Salt & Pepper to taste (I use a lot of pepper!)
  • Optional - a dash of cilantro, basil, paprika, and/or cumin

Instructions

  1. In a medium pan, heat chicken stock on medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook fully.
  3. Add turmeric and other herbs and spices and stir.
  4. Add olive oil when the meat is fully cooked and stir until the oil has absorbed in meat. This will keep it juicy.
  5. Spoon desired amount of turkey on lettuce leaves.
  6. Gobble up!

Notes

Feel free to add ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise if you want it to taste more like a burger. You could also mix a little sriracha to mayonnaise if you want to add even more of a kick. Enjoy!
